Canvases
A canvas is the backdrop on which you ask and explore your data questions.
Create a canvas to explore a specific topic or make it your data playground. You can ask ad-hoc data questions, or share with others to collaborate on reports.

Canvases have 3 distinct regions:
- Question bar at the bottom
- Canvas
- Toolbar at the top
Question bar
Ask Fluent your data question by typing it in the question box. Press Enter ⏎
to submit your question.

Moving around
Move left, right, up and down
Pan to move around the canvas
- Mouse: Hold down the
Space
bar, then click and drag to move around the canvas.
Tip: middle mouse button
💡 If you have a middle mouse button, you can hold it to grab and move the canvas.
- Trackpad: With two fingers, slide in any direction to pan the canvas.
Zoom in and out
Zoom in to take a closer look, or zoom out to see the bigger picture. View the current zoom level in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- Mouse: Hold down
⌘ command
or⌃ ctrl
and scroll down to zoom in and up to zoom out. - Trackpad: Pinch two fingers together to zoom out or stretch two fingers apart to zoom in.
Toolbar
The toolbar contains a selection of tools to explore your data and collaborate in real-time.
